Realfiction makes DPT technical paper from SID Display Week 2026 available on its website

Realfiction Holding AB ("Realfiction" or the "Company") announces that the technical paper "Hybrid Scan: A Multi-Viewer True-Perspective Strong Parallax Display With Algorithmically Controlled Directionality", authored by Realfiction Head of R&D Steen Iversen and Senior Software Engineer Dannie Korsgaard and presented by Steen Iversen at SID Display Week 2026, is now available for download on the Company’s website here .

The paper provides a technical description of how DPT can enable multiple users to simultaneously experience individualized, perspective-correct glasses-free 3D imagery from a single display. The described architecture combines real-time eye tracking, directional light control and high-speed spatial light modulation to deliver individualized stereoscopic images to multiple viewers while maintaining full display resolution.

The paper further discusses how DPT addresses several limitations associated with conventional autostereoscopic display technologies, including resolution trade-offs, overlapping viewing zones and limited support for multiple simultaneous users.

Potential future applications include telepresence and collaborative visualisation, entertainment and gaming, medical visualisation, automotive displays and other advanced display solutions.
